Many Americans choose to move to this place, but should you be living in Mexico?
The place where we should and should not live in is one of the most important considerations in our lives. After all, we are talking about permanence here. When you wish to settle down, you would of course want a place that would cater to most of your ideals in a living settlement, if not all. This comes as no surprise, for this is where you will expect to spend the rest of your life in.
There are many factors that would contribute to your choice. And indeed, you need to carefully think about these factors before you make your ultimate decision. You would not want to dish out a significant amount of money on something you will just regret having done later on.
There are people who, before they decide to live together or have a family together, they already have a goal or target place to live in. but there are also a lot of cases wherein the decision happens during ones stay in a particular place. The decision to stay or to move away from that place is usually based on their contentment and satisfaction with the area.
Those who are dissatisfied are usually those who decide to live in another place. Some people just move to another place with the same culture and values as they have been brought up. But there are also some who choose to move to a very different place than what they are used to different in terms of culture and overall environment. Living in Mexico is an example of this.
Many American are now in Mexico. These are usually the ones who have retired, and have decided to spend the rest of their time in a place that they would enjoy and be happy in. I have read a number of blogs from Americans who are staying there, and I could say that their perspectives on what it is like to live in that place are divided at best. I have been able to take some points in the upside and downside of living in that city.
The Upside
The one thing that most of the American in their blogs had many good things to say about was the food in the place. Many are satisfied with how food in Mexico tastes, and how very satisfied they are with the services that they have been rendered in restaurants. One blog I have read even says that the politeness of the waiters and waitresses in one restaurant delighted him, and that the food was absolutely sumptuous. Another ting is the weather.
Many are satisfied with how the weather there is, compared to the states that they have previously lived in. While the pace in America is always fast and everyone always seems to hurry off to an appointment, many Americans who now live in Mexico are finding out that in the place it is much more relaxed, suited for enjoyment and appreciative living.
The downside
Many of Americans notice the same thing: that although the culture in Mexico is something they can appreciate, there are some beliefs and attitudes that they do not really understand and approve of, such as the Mexicans manana habit, where time is not something of value. One American blogger who lives in Mexico has complained that the Mexicans idea of keeping an appointment is being there even if he or she is hours late.
As with any living arrangements, there are always upsides and downsides. Nonetheless, living in Mexico could prove to be a rather enjoyable settlement.
